THE REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE OQEA LOGO FOR EDUCATIONAL ORGANISATIONS PARTICIPATING IN THE PROJECT OFFERING QUALITY EDUCATION TO ADULTS – OQEA

THE TYPE OF THE LOGO
The OQEA logo, listed in the SIAE register under the serial number 3, takes the following form:
 

The logo is a single one, green with an orange dot and a blue inscription OFFERING QUALITY EDUCATION TO ADULTS.
 
THE OWNERSHIP OF THE LOGO
The Slovenian Institute for Adult Education, Šmartinska 134a, 1000 Ljubljana, is recognised as the owner of the logo. The ownership means that the SIAE alone determines the regulations for using the logo, assigns the logo to rightful claimants, keeps a record thereof and has the right to withdraw the right to use the logo in accordance with these regulations.
 
THE MEANING OF THE LOGO
The logo means that an educational organisation systematically attends to its quality and the quality of its services in adult education.
 
THE WAYS OF USING THE LOGO
According to the regulations, the use of the logo is permitted on correspondence, offers, information and promotional materials, general documents of an organisation, in advertising, on billboards and notice-boards etc.
 
The OQEA logo can only be used in connection with adult education within an organisation.

FORBIDDEN WAYS OF THE LOGO USAGE
An organisation, which has obtained the right to use the logo, must not use it for the following purposes:

1. The OQEA logo must not be used in a way that would lead to conclusion that the organisation obtained it because someone assessed its quality and evaluated it as good.

2. The OQEA and/or to use the OQEA logo must not be referred to in a way that would lead to (erroneous) conclusion that the SIAE is responsible for the quality of the user's services (education and other services).

LEGITIMATE LOGO USERS
The OQEA logo can be used by adult education organisations in Slovenia or other organisations participating in the OQEA project under the auspices of the SIAE.
 
THE DURATION OF THE RIGHT TO USE THE LOGO
The right to start using the logo – an organisation acquires this right if it fulfils the following conditions:

1. it joins the OQEA project;

2. announces on its web-site that it has joined the OQEA project and its purpose for joining;

3. signs the stated regulations for the use of logo and thus binds itself to respect them.

Educational organisations receive the OQEA logo in electronic form not later than 30 days after the compliance with the conditions for logo acquisition.
 
The duration of the use of the logo: As long as an organisation, which obtained the right to use the logo, fulfils all three conditions for the use thereof, it can rightfully use it:

• Throughout its participation in the OQEA project

• One calendar year after the official cessation of the project.

Extension of the right to use the logo: an organisation whose right to use the OQEA logo has ceased can ask the SIAE in writing for an extension of the right to use the logo. In its written application, it must prove that:

1. it attends systematically to quality assessment of at least four indicators contained by the OQEA model;

2. deals with questions regarding quality in adult education in its annual reports, plans and andragogic sessions;

3. has a quality group, which endeavours systematically for quality development in adult education within the organisation;

4. has annual or medium-term plans for quality development in adult education;

5. systematically carries out activities, which improve the level of quality in adult education.

The SIAE decides about the extension of the right to use the logo within 60 days on receipt of a written application. When assessing the application it has the right to demand additional evidence from the organisation.
 

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE LOGO
The logo can only be used in its original form; enlargements or reductions of the logo are permitted as long as the proportion between the height and width remains unchanged.
 
The logo can be used in colour or black-and-white version together with the inscription "Offering Quality Education to Adults". When printed in colour the colours used are as follows: green – pantone 355c, orange – pantone 151c, blue 294c.
 
The OQEA logo can only be used if the user of the logo is stated alongside with it.
 
 
THE LIST OF RIGHTFUL CLAIMANTS OF THE USE OF THE LOGO
The list of educational organisations with the right to use the logo is kept by the Slovenian Institute of Adult Education and is published on its web-site.
 
The organisations that use the OQEA logo must notify the SIAE of any relevant changes regarding the name of the institution, changes in its organisation (merging with other institutions etc.) within 15 days from the changes taking place.
 
THE ABUSE OF THE LOGO
Any eventual abuses of the OQEA logo are examined by the SIAE; the established abuses are turned for assessment to the competent court in Ljubljana.
