Implementation and usefulness of the
OQEA project are continuously monitored and evaluated. In this way, we
can quickly respond to any established deficiencies and needs for
improvement. For this purpose, we have developed the following forms
of monitoring and evaluation:
-
We continuously monitor the
satisfaction of the members of quality groups with the contents
and the organisation of training to support project implementation.
-
We have established a method of
periodical consultations with experts who specialise in quality in
adult education at Slovene universities.
-
We continuously monitor how
educational organisations are realising individual aspects of quality;
we discuss about them a lot and form them inside the OQEA model. In
2003 we have been particularly interested in the practice of
organisations participating in the OQEA project to spread and present
their vision and mission. We were especially interested in how much
the organisations use web-sites and various publications for these
purposes. We also paid attention to important differences that might
occur between organisations that take part in the OQEA project and
those, which do not. In the academic year 2003/2004 we also monitored
how the participating educational organisations discussed
self-evaluation reports in their working collectives after one year of
participation.
-
In co-operation with the Faculty of
Arts in Ljubljana, the first thorough evaluation of the OQEA model
implementation into the initial four secondary schools in Slovenia was
carried out in 2003. Its title was The effects of the OQEA
self-evaluation model into adult education organisations.
-
At the end of 2004 we carried out a
new evaluation of the OQEA project, which grasped the educational
organisations that used the OQEA self-evaluation model from 2003 to
2004.
